Process Paper

I chose my topic because I have always been interested in World War 2. From a very young age I used to listen to my grandfather’s stories of what happened during ww2, I would join him in watching documentaries and other informational videos. Because of this I felt like doing my project over things that my grandfather taught me. Because of my grandfather I now know a lot over what happened in those years, from the battles, to the celebrations back home after the war. Once I chose my topic, I began to research over my topic through many databases, books, and videos. Each place I searched gave me new and interesting information to use for my website. I conducted my research for over two months, each day learning something new which I would insert into my website. I would then look up pictures of the infamous weapons which helped me give a visual of how the weapons looked. The books I read at the library helped me learn about the many engineers and scientists that were ordered to work on these machines of war. I decided to use a website because I believe its best place for people to learn information since everyone is always online. Also because I am good at using computers and technology so it was an obvious chose for me. This topic fits in with the NHD requirements because this helps show the exchange of ideas of many scientists and engineers of that time when they worked together on those machines, it also connects with the exploration of advanced technology during the late 30’s and early 40’s. And finally it also connects to encounter because when some of those weapons were tested or used against the allies, many didn’t know what type of weapon was attacking them, especially when the allies found blueprints and unfinished carcasses of super tanks and stealth bombers. From this I have now learned that this was an era of great secrecy and deception, and finally it is being brought to light so that we may learn of the weapons that could have and did change the world.
